IRELAND

As of 18 September 2023, Plethora Green Energy holds a total of 12 prospecting licenses in Ireland. In an area that stretches from the Counties Kilkenny to South Dublin. These licenses are issued and published by The Geoscience Regulation Office (GSRO).

The Geoscience Regulation Office

The Geoscience Regulation Office (GSRO) oversees mineral exploration regulation in Ireland. It operates under the Department of Communications, Climate Action, and Environment (DECC). Its responsibilities include licensing and regulation of mineral exploration activities.

Prospecting from October - November

Within these licensed areas, we are prospecting for battery minerals, especially Lithium. We conducted a soil sampling program during October and November 2023. This non-invasive mineral exploration program involved collecting small soil samples (1 kg) using handheld augers and shovels to assess their mineral content. After sampling, the ground was fully reinstated. A GPS grid of sampling points, spaced 50 meters apart, was established across the survey area. The samples were labeled, sealed in containers, and transported to a laboratory for geochemical analysis to identify anomalous areas.

Landowner permission

Before this program started, we were granted access from the involved landowners to conduct this program.
